Congratulations all who took part of the first 1.5 mile timed race round the environs of leafy Langley Park, now named “Piece of Cake” due to its unique shape.
As I cannot find any other race quite like it, I hereby declare the following all world records, as all event records were broken this evening.
The race consists of 2 goes round a 1.5 mile course, fastest time to count.
- Fastest Male Senior – 4’16” – Ben Calascione*
- Fastest Folder Category – 4’28” Will Withecombe
- Fastest Male Vet – 4’37” – Steve Ferarrarar
- Fastest Vet Lady – 5’06” Jennifer Hamley
- Fastest Senior Lady – 5’10” Melanie Burdett*
- Fastest Super Vet – 5’17” Colin Logier
- Fastest Musical Cyclist** 4’44” Andrew B Small –Entrant disqualified due to Reckless Abandonment of Riders Pump ( A category 3 offence under POCST Regulations 1953 )
* Note: In accordance with POCST Regulations, entrant ages are calcuated according to the Gregorian Calendar during the winter season.
** In accordance with POCST Regulations, a “musical” cyclist is any cyclist who can play a diminshed 7th chord on at least 3 intruments.
